I'm not a hate-watcher, but my heart immediately filled with hate within the first few minutes.

THEY HAVE FOUR CHILDREN! Why do they have four children? Has that been answered already? They wouldn't have the same volume of money or marital problems with four children. I'm sure this has been discussed to death, but goodness.
The only thing I'm stuck on is that she found his face funny during sex. Can someone talk

Having good looks doesn't prevent a person from making you feel small. Good looking people can be emotional needy and have codependency issues as well. Good looks alone aren't a defense against manipulative people. In fact, it might make a person a more appealing target. Sex ain't the only thing people get out of a

I wonder how many other liars were driven into introspection by this episode. lol "I'm smarter than you." Was that his attempt to bargain? How could he fool himself into thinking his intelligence mattered? Sure he made fire, but that doesn't mean much if you're dead because you wouldn't or couldn't fight for yourself.

This was a great episode. Beth is a baws.

Last week episode question, what did Dawn mean when she grabbed Beth's left arm as evidence of Beth's weakness?

Naw, Toph can still feel that metal, and I'm sure she was the originator of the technique. This is conjecture, but I'm pretty sure that Toph didn't peak at using metal for grappling. Toph isn't only good at dodging/blocking ground attacks.

My excuse is that Aang was holding his own, but his uncertainty about how to finish the fight was what held him back pre-Avatar State

agree, it was a nice moment

With Aang and Ozai, Ozai only had a pre-avatar state advantage because of Aang's uncertainty of how to finish the fight. With Aang and Azula, especially on top of the steam engine, Aang had other objectives besides finishing Azula.

I'm not saying she'd be helpless in the air, but I assume Zaheer would basically start juggling her and she'd be at a disadvantage.

I want to google it to find out if it's a thing, but I don't want to google it for fear of what I'll see

Of course, but she's so unpolished as a fighter. I know she's been away for a while, but…I always remember how great she is against groups of henchmen and hen when she has to go up against someone *real* she always folds. However, it's just frustration. I'll probably come around to her by the end of the season.

lol why? all of Kuvira's fights have been outdoors. Also you don't need someone to jump to knock them off their feet.

Naw, Aang acquitted himself nicely one on 1 against Azula on the steam engine. Ozai also had a power boost when facing Aang, and I'm not sure the show showed him to be a more proficient bender than Azula. You're right about Combustion Man, but we haven't seen anybody able to handle a Combustion person.

I don't think that one ability trumps everything. Tenzin was too beat up for us to know what kind of defense he would have thought of. I'd give a master bender a nod vs. someone with one additional special ability.

That's a lot of "ifs", but sure. I was just thinking of a 1 on 1 fight like she had with Korra out there.

We don't know that definitively. Tenzin was too beat up for anything for us to know whether or not a full strength Tenzin could have handled him.

Yeah everybody brought up dark avatar unaloq and I never considered it as an option. Of course avatar state trumps everything, but I thought we were just talking about their actual bending ability.

It would be tough Zaheer v. Kuvira, but if Zaheer gets Kuvira off the ground the fight is over. I have trouble seeing how Kuvira would get Zaheer on the ground. We can't say she has a speed advantage.
