@Tui said it well. Sure, The other nations…but this is garbage! They other nations should have realized this was a possibility the whole time when they just let her do all the work of restoring order to the Earth Kingdom. It was extremely foolish of them to leave all the work to one person and expect her to fall in

That's not the same thing at all. You have to say something like, "What if China was a constitutional monarchy whose last emperor (who everybody hated) was murdered and it plunged into a state of anarchy, and world leaders entrusted a Taiwanese general to restore order. And these leaders just left her to it for years.

as long as they reveal it on or before the 31st, we're solid

The first theory is a decent reason for Mako and Bolin to fight each other. The second would be interesting but there's no foreshadowing for it…I don't see anybody but really old people supporting the idea of Wu as monarch unless Wu really changes his act. I also think it's interesting because of the possible

lol you're not actually disagreeing with me, him not siding with Kuvira could be the reason he's attacked

*clears throat* NERD!!!! just kidding of course. Nevertheless, it's possible, but unlikely. There's no one trying to rally around Prince Wu. It's not a pragmatic move to go after him, and he has put up no resistance to her rule. He just feels sorry for himself. Even if Kuvira went after Wu and Mako, I think she would

I think S1 and S2 Korra were more like early Zuko. I know I'm not the first to make that comparison. Mostly because of her constant need to prove herself, her tendency to rush into things, and the difficulty she had accepting counsel and assistance from others.

He didn't want to rule and they didn't want him to rule. They were going to give him a council to basically make all of the decisions for him. They just wanted him back up there mostly as a symbolic gesture of setting things back to how they were.

Good response. My larger issue (which you tackled and understood well) is the idea that masks conceal a "true" self. I can dig that there are things that we choose to conceal from others that might give them a fuller understanding of who we are, but I dislike the "not really me" idea.

That isn't enough of a reason for me to be bothered by them not objecting loudly to her leadership. They all think she's done a great job reuniting the earth kingdom. Her stated reasons for taking control from the Earth King are pretty good in addition to the fact nobody expects him to rule. They also have economic

I'm hoping it's a 6th Sense, and *spooky voice* Toph was dead the whole time.

Do the other leaders have any real standing to object? They handed her a pretty enormous task to accomplish, and they knew she was growing in popularity the whole time she was doing it. I would understand if someone from the Earth Kingdom objected, but I(and likely others in the audience) would be annoyed by someone

I didn't have a problem with Toph's truth telling. That was good. It was great use of her character, but I wasn't thrilled with her. She just kind of played her role this episode. I been saying elsewhere. I like Toph best when she's way too relaxed about everything and when she's interacting with Sokka. Toph being

That's an insult to Toph. Toph was way more laid back and genuinely confident. She didn't have the same level of insecurity and impulsiveness.

Toph was Toph in this. If you love Toph, then you'll love her like you always do, but I thought she was just herself. I liked Toph best when she was interacting with Sokka or being way too laid back about everything. I didn't enjoy Toph brow beating Aang. And as much as Korra annoys me sometimes, it didn't do much for

Also, how can you tell by the 5 seconds of that trailer that they're after Wu? Can you give me the time in the trailer where we see them attacking Mako and Asami at the same time? I see Asami fighting Earth Kingdom soldiers, but I don't see Mako in the same shot.

But we don't see Bolin joining in that fight.

However I can see them making up a stupid reason for her to do so to force conflict between the two, but it doesn't make sense because he is absolutely no threat to her on his own.

I'm liking this mostly because it closely resembles my feelings. Toph wasn't fun just because of her interactions with Aang. I would say her and Sokka were much more entertaining together. This episode didn't really give me a great Toph moment, but I can understand how huge Toph fans appreciate her for just showing up.

Why would you think Mako and Bolin would fight? The only reason I could see it happen is if Kuvira wanted to take Wu captive, but she has no incentive to do so.
