It’s too bad they screwed it all up. The system they present assumes the party only bets on one dinosaur per race, and that there are never competing bets. Competing bets is the very point of a wagering system, not an edge case.

Having failed my will save to look deeper through the power of the Way Back Machine, I can share a little bit more. Active Worlds didn’t actually exist for more than a few weeks during the 90's. It was never an MMO and in reality it was SDK released in the early 00's for setting up client/servers 3d worlds.
