It was actually pretty faithful to the comics of the time. There's this revisionist history promoted from the 90s that Batman was always this grimdark mature thing when it really wasn't. This was in the silver age at the height of the CCA.

From what I understand, Germany said that if Austria-Hungary was going to attack Serbia, they needed to do it quickly because both France and Russia were both still disorganised and unprepared. I haven't read anything to suggest that Germany threatened to break off the alliance with Austria unless they attacked Serbia.

Perhaps, but the points Austria to justify such a stance - that the Serbian state officially supported irredentism and terrorism against Austria-Hungary, calling for its dissolution - were basically true.

Germany vowed to support Austria, but Austria's own desire. It had its own reasons for wanting the Serbs out of the way. Germany's moves against Russia were actually a response to Russian mobilization against Austria and Germany.

I wouldn't quite characterize it like that. Germany believed that Austria was justified in taking action against Serbia and should do so without fear of Russian intimidation, so pledged to support them. Plus the Russians themselves encouraged the Serbs to reject the ultimatum. Germany definitely did enable Austria's

To be fair, the Allies violated Albania's neutrality just as fragrantly as Germany violated Belgium's.

Far from 'just hangin out', the IDF was created in June 1948 after Israel was attacked by the Arab states in May, who had the intention of destroying the country at its birth. It currently occupies the West Bank because in June 1967 Jordan attacked Israel. It withdrew from Gaza in 2005.

The conflict is a bit more complicated that just the big, bad IDF killing bare-handed Palestinians.

The only opinion she expressed was the opinion that the IDF had the right to defend itself against terrorist attacks by Hamas. Have you ever made posts condemning Hamas terrorist bombing of Israeli civilians? If not you must support it…

He comments 'upporting the IDF' were almost entirely anti-Hamas comments. At no point in her tweets did she ever support "the slaughter and displacement of an entire people." In fact she called for co-existance.

She never supported that.

Also the whole bringing up her statements about Gaza seems disingenuous. Lebanon (and many other Arab states) bans anyone with an Israeli passport, or even anyone with Israeli stamps in their passport regardless of their views in Gaza.

The Justice League comics are pretty colorful -the movie on the other hand seems to have the color palette of nightmarish black sludge.

For me, GoT has always been dangerously close to substituting good storytelling with 2 edgy 4 u shock value which has gotten worse over time. It reminds me of when I was 14 and i would read stories saturated with as much gratuitous sex and violence as possible because I thought it made me 'mature'.

Basically all his movies since Pirates 4 in 2011 flopped or underperformed {more than 3} .The Lone Ranger was one of the biggest flops in history.._

The problen is that Sparrow is a fun goofball sidekick, but he doesn't really work as the main protagonist who has to do all the heavy lifting. And his shtick was already getting old by the 3rd movie, so in the 4th he's just boring. Plus the series had concluded so the 4th film felt like it was slapped together to

Also Jack Sparrow is like a completely different character and Johnny Depp looks like he'd rather be anywhere else.

I cant defend them as good movies, but 2 and 3 are enjoyable rubbish. 4 is just the worst thing ever though.

If you thought 3 was bad the fourth is borderline unwatchable. If you've avoided it thus far, just keep doing that.

You will be completely lost without seeing the original series and the movie.
