Seriously, no internet? The best source for information and support there is for the car enthusiast? The entire hobby is infinitely easier because of the internet. Big swing and a miss.

Let's find out!

My bad y'all

I agree with you in a lot of ways because I love the 2nd gen MR2. OTOH I know i both understeered and oversteered my first car into the ditch, causing not a whole lot of damage to anything but my ego. That was with an MR2 turbo engine minus all the tricky handling that comes with the MR2 chassis. Had i been in an MR2,

My car has over 100K on the original clutch and I've taught two people to drive stick on it...

Point well made & understood. That said, there are other cars that are equally/nearly as fun and reliable, that don't have a mid-engine layout, aren't prone to snap oversteer, that still have tires available (I had a hell of a time finding replacement tires for my '93 wheels that were of decent quality), that don't

I'm so tired of my wife's requirements for things like "a house", "college savings", "retirement savings"... when I could just have this instead.

20k? no. you've been given really, terribly bad info. They get far, far better than that. My wife used to own one. it didn't throw a clutch in over 110k. dont know how long it would have gone (A 3/4 ton made sure of that at a stop light).

I love seeing my beloved MR2 getting love on Jalopnik but I respectfully disagree - this is not the car for a first-time driver. Many of them didn't come with ABS, you only have one 21 year old airbag, and many trucks and SUVs (and even some new cars) look right over you.

As a first car, no. *Maybe* as a second car.

Best to learn life's a bitch early on.

I love Jalopnik and have been reading for years and finally just made an account right now to reply to your comment.

Every 20k is a crock of shit. I abused the hell out of mine that I bought used and drove way more than that. 150 miles every day in rush hour back and forth to work 5 days a week.

Can be done in 6 hours on a saturday.

Well, then they can learn how to replace a clutch, so they get some life skills too.

NO.

All the LaFerrari models are Niki Lauda editions in the sense that most people will want to know what the hell happened to its face.

Yes, because you clearly sprang fully formed from the head of Zeus. You must be a real hit at parties.

This was a while ago. I still work here, but they pay me.
