Eh, if it was a Tesla Jalopnik as a whole would be drowning in drool over the exact same interior. If GM had made something futuristic and insane Jalopnik would be complaining about them trying to hard or not having realistic expectations. They make something realistic and they’re phoning it in.

I have the opposite take. I spent my 20's too frugally living completely debt free - I regret not buying my dream car then and now kids and a wife say I am going to have to wait even longer. Absolutely, if you have debt now in your 20's, don’t get your car but just understand it might be your only shot for a while.
