Different strokes for different folks. Careful not to fall into the too common trap of looking down on the people who are different than you though, which I’m getting a vibe of in your comment.

I’m unapologetically in love with the Mazda rotary. I get shit on about it constantly, but whatever. My RX-8 provides me with such a wonderful driving experience and there hasn’t been much else that I’ve been in that provides me the same experience.

Congrats, you just spent $25k to have a $15k C5 corvette.

The rotary oil consumption charge is just a version of engine discrimination. My RX-8 consumed a quart of oil every 3,000 miles. My Subaru has, since new, burned a quart of oil every 3,000 miles. My friend’s S2000 burns a quart of oil every 3,000 miles. Yet, guess which car has people constantly moaning about oil

To me there are two types of engineers:

WTF? Where do you live? I just paid $7600 a few weeks ago and that was on the high end of what I found. Most were in the $5K-$7K range. Now some of those were Craigslist specials that I wouldn’t touch, but still.

I had a wild idea at one point a day or two after the crash born of norco and it being 1 am to put my Abarth’s guts into an X1/9

I get that, and I know there are other interesting cars out there... it’s just difficult to seriously consider them once you have a Miata.

80's wedge you say?

Great suggestion, basically a Japanese E36 M3 with waaay better suspension. Not too autox competitive, but definitely capable of punching above it’s weight with a good driver.

The first MR2 suggestion was way too far down the list. Definitely an awesome track car - partially because they can be a bit of a handful, depending on model and setup. Driving fast in a car that will bite you is so much more rewarding than driving some nanny-filled engineering mobile that won’t let you screw up

No.

Solid roof required.

MR2, any generation. First gen for the wedge, second for its power, third for its agility (though she’d need a hardtop or rollbar for the upside down thing).

Opel GT or any of the quirky British sports cars. Triumph and MG are also valid answers. These cars should be fun and cheap while looking pretty classy.

Lol.

And this is why the centrist Democrats must be opposed.

Reading these articles just makes me wish even more that Washington State would have Finnish-style traffic fines as a % of your income rather than this flat-rate libertarian fantasy structure.

*intentionally* YES. But if you just so happen to not be good at the game then people should not be toxic towards you. People who encourage this behavior are awful. And when I said play how you want that means play whatever character you want. fuck that meta shit.
