I’d take your Corvette Owner’s and raise you Ferrari fans, not owners necessarily, just the die hard fans. They’re just as bad as Corvette owners in many ways but most will never drive a Ferrari let alone own one, and they get decked out in all the greatest gear. I get that the cars are nice, some of the best

Surprised the 996 911 didn’t show up a bit earlier in suggestions. It’s fast, under $20k, and if you deal with the IMS and RMS pretty reliable. Maybe not great for a big family but there are enough success stories of it being a family car to not rule it out and it’s far more uncommon than some cars being recommended.

Same problem I have with my IS300.

Definitely. Got a bunch of tools that have lasted far longer than expected mostly cause I use them infrequently. Got a couple of torque wrenchs for $10, and I check them once in a while to make sure they are still accurate but they still work, vs $50 or more for brand name.

While I agree with your sentiment, this won’t be the first car with a central gauge/speedo position. My wife had an Ion and mentioned you get used to it fairly quickly. I would have liked to seen a heads up display though.

Got a point with Electrik, and while MotorTrend has some entertaining content, I fins their favoritism usually goes to whichever brand just bought a two page advertisement, so I take all of their reviews with a bucket of salt.

Probably, crap driver combined with a nearly 5000lb crazy instant torque RWD car seems like a recipe for tire roasting.

Read a story like that on r/ Just rolled in to the shop. Lady thought because it’s a Mercedes it never needed an oil change -_-

Hybrids will still be an option, just no diesel and gas only.

And they’ve got plans to stop using coal.

That’s what gets me when people compare it to other car manufactures, Tesla is far more diverse. It’s not better or worse but it’s not the same.

Toyota has their own option in the running that is the new Prius. God that thing, what happened to sleek japanese styling?

And if what I’ve read on the internet is to believed, the origin of the name for a certain magazine.

What no Playboy? The name was eventually used for a very well known magazine, but rumor is the car company is were it got the name.

Ugh, I miss mine so much. It never quite ran right and the floor was starting to rot away but it was just so special compared to the Miata I replaced it with. Revvier, more interesting looking, rarer, just a cool little car. I just couldn’t justify keeping it, just blew a headgasket too and I didn’t have the space,

Definitely known to be twitchy, midengine light weight can do that, but they don’t have a ton of power so the owner was probably really pushing.

Very true, and he has done a lot for Western NY where I live so it’s not all bad. Your assessment is spot on.

Do you recall what our other option was? I’m not a huge fan of Cuomo despite being a democrat because there’s just so much shady shit surrounding him but it’s like picking Trump or Clinton in our last vote, the other option was a racist homophobe.

You can find Turbo 996's around $30k nowadays. Pretty sure that’d be tough to beat for the money, and no IMS to worry about. Sure probably high mileage but honestly you could go more ”stupid” than a high mileage Porsche

This is the same thing I’ve been running in to...
