They can’t.

...and probably not give them adequate notice and severance pay.

Yasss! These foks out chere talking bout she gotta body built like a man. PUH-LEASE! I just don’t get it. I want those hips!

OMG I love her beyond words

The thickness.....laaawwwdddd.

No one is getting sick from a sugar and fat product who would not get sick from any similar item. Those people would not touch a donut. If he tainted the donut it would have to be with some material that isn’t found in a donut shop; the last time any such thing happened it was a guy trying to cover an attempted murder

I wonder if just rewording a bit of his information would fix the problems. Like call it Twin City Doughnut Run. His customers pay full retail for the product and then pay him a delivery fee, so he isn’t selling food. Just some minor BS things that could work around laws. Now none of that matters if they just stop

And make him the manager

My guess is it has something to do with the advertising. Krispy Kreme can’t actually confirm he is selling their doughnuts but he is absolutely using their branding. In theory he could be buying off-brand doughnuts and selling them as Krispy Kreme products.

wouldn’t “First sale doctrine” apply somehow?  I know it’s usually applied to copyrighted works, but I’d think that once he paid the Krispy Kreme store for the food, he’s free to do whatever the hell he wants with it.

The first one is a wonderful sugar bomb. The second is still pretty good, but not as great as the first. And the third or fourth is that one that sits in your stomach and makes you rue the fact that you overdid it.

Yeah, and I can accept that TV experience doesn’t exactly correlate to movie-writing experience. But a) if experience is the key factor here, surely there’s enough overlap that it should count for something, and b) even if you remove that from the equation entirely, it’s a guy who wrote 2.5 movies versus a woman who

More the other way around. What is it about seeing a minority that allow the powers that be to automatically lowball them?

Trying to justify it by saying these are “industry-standard established ranges based on experience” is especially fucked-up, given the strength of their resumes. He had one movie screenwriting credit and one “story by” credit prior to Crazy Rich Asians. She’d been writing for television for two decades. It’s a flimsy

I don’t think the risk here is that great. A cup of coffee costs pennies to make; the most expensive part is literally the cup.

Or maybe it’s exactly what we meant.

I don’t know who I would give this to. Who do I know who deserves a cup of crap coffee and diarrhea? Do I still have my ex-wife’s address?

“McDonald’s wants you to help it advertise its coffee.”

I’m with you. I just see colored grids on a black and white picture. Maybe my brain is broken.
