I'll eventually get to that.
I'll eventually get to that.
For years I've been interested in Isaac Asimov, but I'd only read I, Robot (which I love, btw). Now, after years of just not getting to it, I managed to read The Positronic Man (a novel by Robert Silverberg based on the short story by Asimov) and that left me wanting more. Thus, I'm now starting Caves of Steel and…
Well, I appreciated the fact that the cops were quick to suspect Jax.
John Barrowman's the biggest treasure in the world.
You know, I tried to watch it when it first came out but got reeaaaally bored after 4 episodes, Penguin being the only remotely interesting thing about it. Maybe I should skip all the way to the second season.
You know, it's a really beautiful series. That's definitely not what I was expecting when I found it on Netflix maybe about a year and a half ago, but it is. I just finished watching the second season and I liked it even more. There's some warmth to the story of this guy trying to navigate his life and find love that…
At least the episode made clear that the crossover isn't a three-part movie but three separate episodes that share a common story thread but still deal with their own issues and stories. It's fitting that the big invasion climax will be on Legends.
Oh god, is it that so-bad-it's-good?
What's wrong with gay? =P
The choice was between seeing two dear people dead.
And Jane the Virgin/Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
Seeing this, I'm kinda glad I'm not on the country at the moment… Wouldn't want to be labeled a rapist and a criminal.
I really appreciate how the show's willing to talk about culture and about the difficulties of being latino in America because this is probably the only place on TV where it happens. All the talk about the cultural problems between the Villanueva women is really well done and the extended presence of both spanish and…
Oh god, next time try to learn how to properly read, will you? It's easy to spot an accent you're not familiar with. It's even easier to spot when someone's reciting lines without any resemblance of actual cadence, which happens when an actor only recites lines he or she's only vaguely familiar with. My comment…
The Cecilia scenes would've been way funnier if the actress actually knew any Spanish, but as an actual speaker it's way too easy to spot how unnatural it sounds and that's simply off-putting..
…sure, why not. "Bravery".
Nah, as well-placed stupidity ;)
I was ready to hate him for his stupidity when he got out of the house, blowing that girl's story and proceeded to get his ass kicked, but then the series reminded us of the hemophilia and I found myself willing to understand such stupidity.
And at seventeen, no less!
The Ph.D. thing reaaaaally bothers me everytime it happens anywhere. It's like… being a good chemist doesn't make you a good biologist or physicist but these fantasy/sci-fi stories seem to make all of the specialties interchangeable as "science-y".
