I actually think that if they re-released the Honda Element now, it would do well.

Not a Corvette guy, but in my opinion the C3 was and always will be an absolute stunner.

I’ll put on my poncho for the tomatoes coming my way (what fun are the obvious takes)...but I think the first gen (AT10) Scion Tc design has aged well. Unfortunately, there are like zero, even close to good condition examples around. Yes, biased because I had one. When the 2nd gen came out, at the time, I thought the

Jalopnik can’t get rid of comments. At least half of their articles are listicles of user comments, or listicles of the user comment listicles they’ve done recently. What would the writers do for content if they couldn’t relentlessly mine user comments?

fewer pedantic rude trolls on the autopian comments. they seem to watch out there for them.

I’m really over the KIA/Hyundai jizz fest on Jalopnik. This is the ugliest thing I’ve seen in a long time. What are y’all smoking?

A Samba green del Sol was the first car I ever loved. My dad went to the local dealer to get a pint of paint, and my pinewood derby car was painted Samba green that year. I still love spotting them on the road (I saw one last week).

I don’t think Midori Green will ever be topped. Honda used it exclusively on the 1996 Civic hatch and never again.

Pretty much. I recently bought a 2020 Ioniq Electric L2 driver assistance, and even though it seemed to do ok, I have no desire to actually use it since I need to stay engaged in the driving anyway and keep my hand on the wheel. I like adaptive cruise for keeping speed and adjusting for cars in front of me to avoid

Akin to riding along with a 16-year old, I’d guess. Ostensibly relaxing, since you’re not doing the steering and mirror checks, but due to the incredible likelihood of an unexpected move (or missed sign, or failure to brake), your alertness must actually be higher than when actually driving.

Oh, and then there are the tail lights. There was a fad in the early 00s for “disco ball” tail lights. And Toyota jumped on that trend just as it went away.

To me, it’s not a car in particular, but a material.

I can appreciate the sentiment, but any display of acquiring something only to destroy it is largely missing the point if it’s an objection to capitalism. Someone paid Tesla for the car, right? That’s already a win in their book even if you crush it.

Are Nickelodeon game shows making a comeback?

Agreed.

A VW Beetle:

For my money, it is the premium sound system package typically offered by most manufacturers.

you mean... for an additional $25, i’m not liable for any damages to the vehicle?    we’re about to see just what this focus is capable of... or not
