Well, I was trying to avoid just calling you a clueless dumbass when you said something that was blatantly contradicted by the story of the show the actor was actually in.

I wasn’t really a fan of the movie, mainly because they decided to immediately portray Daredevil as an unambiguous murderer in it within 10 minutes of the movie starting, which was never the character’s thing in any of the source material.

It’s sort of strange that you leap to that conclusion, considering that Charlie Cox starred in a version of Daredevil where Elektra hurts Daredevil so badly during their fight in the Defenders that he has to go through the longest period of recovery that I think has actually been portrayed in any superhero movie or

I’ve never really understood it either.  There is an entire sub-industry of extremely versatile voice actors who are much better at it because they do the work all the time than the big time celebrities they bring over to slum it from time to time.

Usually, it should go, ‘guy goes to a teller and says, ‘I have a large withdrawal to make today.  Here is my account number and identification.’  Teller goes, ‘Yes, sir, if you can have a seat over there, xxxxxxx will be with you shortly.’

Yeah, looks like it.

This is Colleen from art done in 1976.  The artwork is fairly typical for how Asian characters were depicted during that era.

Colleen Wing is sometimes depicted as a redheaded Asian woman in the comics. She has always been depicted as an Asian. The redheaded thing has been off and on constant over the years.

Considering that the script called for Bruce and Selina to end up together, I imagine many people would have had issues with the casting, since he is 14 years older than Zoe Kravitz and he would have been 37 and her only 23 at the time of the movie.

In Greenville, South Carolina, there were 2-3 different dollar theaters that showed late run movies.  I could not see opening day movies for $1.  Those were generally between $4-6 depending on where I went, but I went to see plenty of movies that were late in their theatrical runs for $1.

As someone who legitimately used to go see a lot of movies for $1, paying 16x that for a movie ticket only a couple of decades later is sort of galling.

It’s true that no fictional character has any practical impact on my life, but I have a finite amount of free time to devote to entertaining myself and I find that I’ve wasted some of that time if I’ve devoted it to consuming the story of characters that I find uninteresting or dislikable.

The basic problem with trying to find a definitive take on the Catwoman character is that, unlike Batman, there really is no definitive conception of what Selina Kyle is or represents as a person. That means that every writer that comes along reimagines Selina into whatever he or she wants her to become. For one

Just as an aside, I’ve found the older I get as an adult, the less of my time and patience I have to devote to watching stories about characters I find distasteful or unlikable.

I’d actually just prefer a hyper-competent Batman like they portrayed in the animated universe for over twenty years, where it wasn’t so realistic that if Croc ever did appear, he’d obviously just be a guy with a skin condition and not a Se7eN ripoff where Bruce Wayne is channeling Kurt Cobain or where Batman is

I thought it was pretty clear in Thor: Ragnarok that the valkyrie who sacrificed herself that sent Valkyrie tumbling down a self-destructive path of alcoholism and despair was her wife.

You are wrong, Jesse.  The Star Wars prequels have never been good.

The last couple of advance previews have killed it for me. I don’t think I’ve ever looked less forward to a Batman movie than this.  This version of Catwoman looks dull as dishwater and the Riddler just seems to be cut straight out of 90's grit thrillers like Se7en.

I assume you’re talking about the original, but I would say that TCM2 is quite good in ways the first one wasn’t.

Yes, I believe so.
