It’s a little bit different in EVE than it would be in another mmo however.  If your high end raid guild lost 9 days in WoW, you can pick up and start the raid again.  If you lose all your territory in EVE to a bigger guild, you’ve pretty much lost everything you’ve been working for maybe for years.

“I think portraying an out-of-court settlement whose amount is undisclosed but we should all assume was a significant chunk of change as $5 smacks of histrionics.”

I don’t really think a rapist who never faced any prison time and paid what for him was the equivalent of about $5 for you and me could possibly be classified as a ‘rapist success story.’ A man who felt true contrition for his crime would have been willing, at the very least, to succumb to the bare minimum punishment

I’m not really sure if I agree that gamers have more choice and more games.  During the PS1 and PS2 and even PS3 days, it seemed like there were many games every year that I was sort of liking forward to buying and playing.  These days, it is maybe 2 or 3 in a given calendar year.  I know more than that are actually

The Lighthouse was superior to Jo Jo Rabbit in almost every aspect of filmmaking and I’d rather have seen it on the list, even though it never would have had a chance to win.

You know, you could contain all of your trolling to a single response of mine and not pollute the entire thread.

Yes, I suppose you’re correct.  Having read through and seen what the Academy qualifies as ‘adapted’ in the past, I guess this would also qualify, since it fits into the ‘intellectual property’ area.

Logan was an adapted screenplay because it was a sequel to earlier X-Men movies.  In addition, the source that they were loosely adapting, ‘Old Man Logan’ was clearly spelled out from the earliest days of pre-production.

That’s not ‘adapted screenplay’ normally works.

Apparently a very loose adaptation then.  There is almost nothing of the Killing Joke in Joker other than the character started out as a failed comedian.

What was Joker supposedly adapted from?

But it’s not really a pattern. There are lots of sequels that have made more than the first movie, from substantially more like The Incredibles 2 and The Dark Knight, to only slightly more like The Road Warrior and The Devil’s Rejects. There are also plenty of series where the third movie or even subsequent sequels mad

“Star Wars was re-released theatrically in 1978, 1979, 1981 and 1982,[119] with the subtitle Episode IV – A New Hope being added in 1981.”

Yeah, they really had the hardest time deciding what to do with Psylocke, mainly because they started out with this sort of early on quasi-pedophile thing with Doug Ramsey that they had going on, but ultimately decided to discard without really having much of a further plan with what to do with her.

No, not really.  I was just clarifying that her mutant power was actually something rather straightforward and simple, but the disastrous early development of that power led to a character with a very lengthy list of ancillary powers and abilities due to the aforementioned being trapped in Hell.

Her mutant power was technically interdimensional teleportation. All of her other ‘powers’ came as a result of magical training she received from Storm and Belasco in Limbo.

Steven Seagal was never taken seriously as an actor.

I’m sure it did.  I’ve played none of the Witcher series and seriously considered buying them on Steam after I watched the series.  Ultimately, I did not, but that’s just because I have a large backlog of stuff I’ve bought on impulse on Steam and never devoted the time to playing.

I just thought it was hilarious that they so obviously couldn’t make him as broken and OP as Salvatore obviously wanted him with the primary class Salvatore described him as having, so they just said ‘screw it’ and made him a fighter, so they could break him like the average rules rapist in your home campaign would -

That’s actually been a problem with Drizzt for a long time.  His writeup in 3.0 (3.5?) had him have 1 level of ranger for the dual wielding that rangers got for free at first level and then 19 levels of fighter.
