Personally I don't usually read anything about a game when I am playing it nor do I think people should have to. It seems silly to assume that people know that their build is going to get completely effed if it meant they had to look at other media beyond the game itself.

O.k. let me critique then. I find it hard to take this review seriously when straight off the bat you can't be objective. 

Right but also as a critic are you not suppose to be objective? As a result shouldn't you also be putting some of your stronger personal feelings aside and trying to understand what made the game great for so many other people, at least enough to warrant a kind of sequel?
