I feel like I could write a dissertation about why Karl Urban’s Judge Dredd is the ultimate amalgam of every Action Hero trope deconstructed for a new era, much in the way that ‘Shoot em’ Up’ and ‘The Expendables’ attempted, ‘Dredd’ succeeded without a hint of loving the smell of its own farts.
