I love these images and those that come out of all the cons. It would be nice however if the photos were captioned with who or what was being cosplayed. I am not into every genre and subset of fandom

It's too bad they can't just use methamphetamine or cocaine anymore.
All of these misleading graphs might convince you that all graphic of data are prone to error or misrepresentation. The fact is that with some training it's possible for someone to deduce when a graph is being misused. Just learn from this story and think critically about what you are being show.
This is a horrible situation. If The Order goes on to bomb partially because of this, the point that we've all made is that a) single player content is a big no-no, since it'll get spoiled immediately by LPers and people will have no incentive to buy and b) that padding is necessary because people will wreck you if…
I really liked this series, for my usual tastes way too short but the compactness suited the story perfectly. It felt like a universe stuffed in a jewel box. Unfortunately, it will remain vividly with me forever & so to read it again will be unlikely as I enjoyed the total surprise the most. Thanks io9 for alerting me…
I like the idea of reading Southern Reach against Roadside Picnic, but I would have said that its closest prototypes were Stalker and "The Color Out of Space," where the encounter with weird nature receives more emphasis than any alien intelligence lurking in the landscape.
I really enjoyed the trilogy (props to IO9 for letting me know it was even there). As soon as I read Acceptance I went back and re-read Annihilation and it was eye-opening. All the motives that are laid bare in Acceptance are there in plain sight in Annihilation (and also Authority) and having that insight makes…
Closing out an acclaimed trilogy is always a difficult task: tying up plot threads, character arcs and all the…
Yeah she could definitely play Domino.
It's cool Gina Carano is going to be in Deadpool, but I wish she got a more high profile role, something better than some morlock.
Hopefully the dreamweavers take this series to new and dark places.
Vincent D'Onofrio is in Jurassic World? WIN!
"Autism and vaccines have no connection, fuckwad" is my go to statement.
I feel like a lot of the rhetoric around defending vaccines has come dangerously close to saying "vaccines aren't bad, because they don't cause this terrible affliction," or something to that effect — whereas in fact, we can defend vaccines and de-stigmatize autism at the same time.
Public opinion has turned, sharply and loudly, in favor of supporting vaccines. Yay! It took an outbreak of…
I'd be very happy to see Branagh helm another Thor. I think the first is underrated while the second is my least favorite of the MCU films by a long way.
But the thing is, his review is completely on target. Star Wars is a visually striking but completely banal pastiche of familiar elements made for children. We can't fault him for being truthful. The only mistake he makes is thinking Star Wars is science fiction.
Eh. I disagree. I think most of it made sense. M doubts Bond's competence because he's fucking old and her age means that she's increasingly aware of the perils of aging. The siege plot made sense because they had to go to ground somewhere, and bond was making stupid decisions because of the quasi-maternal nature of…
