I thought it was odd that Tommy mentioned only his grandmother, especially since I'm sure Gillian came to understand that Nucky killed her son (and certainly would have made sure Tommy knew that). A "Baltimore accent" sounds quite a bit like a "Philadelphia accent," to my ears (I live in Philadelphia). But Kathy Bates is 1) inaccurate and 2) making my ears bleed. I'm suspicious of Jessica Lange; is the constant whispering being done to mask a lack of facility with the German accent?
