A couple years ago, I switched to building and running my own media server. I gifted the young neighbor couple a couple hundred DVDs. 

As a Plex streamer, I can vouch for this. I have 1080p and UHD copies cause sometimes my setup just won’t stream UHD without buffering every couple minutes.

I have plenty of complaints, but I liked it.
