Really, Handlen? This show is leaps and bounds better than most of Season 1. And when they took other chances last year you said “Star Trek can’t do that”.

The show is now clearly writing Mark as gay, though the young character obviously has not fully processed that himself yet. Which is common.

Having Crystal/Natalie West in the very first scene with the family as they downed all the food from well-wishers was a shock and very important to me.

Kier’s role in the original is actually very small.

This is very leading opinion copy from William which doesn’t accurately account for the reviews. They’re actually very polarized - either love or hate, not “mostly disappointed”.

Yeah, I’ve seen it. But there’s zero corroboration beyond those angry parents’ claims in the actual scripts.

There’s literally none of that in the two Fukunaga scripts that leaked. The final film is maybe 40-50% his structure.
