I meant Split, but yes I love that

The whole becomes something very different in the final analysis.
Definitely go see this.
This one is part of his low-key comeback, but The Visit edges it out for me despite this having a great (and as IV says, extraneous to most of the story except it ties everything together into a larger whole) final scene..
You go with his precious dialogue if the overall work is good and immersive. On that film it was, on most of his output in the later 2000s it wasn't.
It is indeed godawful, and so is Devil AFAIC. But The Visit and this are solid.
Just repeating what I said elsewhere: A solid film, but The Visit is better. I am glad MNS is having a low-key comeback after humiliating himself for years. The ending, however, opens things up for a rather big next project if he so chooses.
Like me.
The Visit is worth your time and better than this IMO, but this is pretty decent.
Devil is shit. The Visit is good.
I love Signs. I don't care.
The movie does not use it for a punchline. But the alters involved are in fact kidnappers and murderers. Not all the personalities are malevolent.
Night is pulling off a comeback. Kevin Smith never will.
The Visit and this film are a surprising, low-key comeback for a talented director whose ego had, I thought, destroyed him. Both are still full of his peculiar, precious language and characterizations, but both work for the universes he creates. I really dug The Visit in all its strangeness, and this is pretty decent…
It's spoiled downthread despite some miscommunication and mistakes in other answers
I agree with you, but beyond that I cannot comment for reasons
Stay for the credits.
Wrong.
The movie is not bad and worth seeing.
Well, maybe, just maybe, I am not willing to discuss the finer details in the A.V. Club comments section.
