I think you're overthinking it. The show isn't Lost. 99% of the questions and threads were tied off in S1 for a reason.

That's your prerogative but IMO it's a mistake. I like the characters, I like the story they're telling and they have always intended to continue this particular story.

I love it.

There was never a plan for an anthology series, beems.

So basically one half-decent season out of like six.

I don't know why everyone apparently thought this show was billed as an anthology based on absolutely zero evidence, and then reacted with apparent mild to extreme outrage when it wasn't.

Fuck anthology shows.

Stoooppp

Because shit like AHS trained people not to expect ongoing story. It drives me up the wall.

No. I'm tired of 'anthology series' becoming a crutch for shows that fear long-term plotting and frankly usually aren't very good anyway. Ryan Murphy brought us that and 90% of 'anthology series' on TV today blow because of it.

No.

Really, we're calling it that now? Barb hit her peak about 8 hours after the show dropped.

I'm sure he'll get right on that.

He was no picnic on Drunken Master II under the legendary Lau Kar-leung, IIRC. He directed a great deal of it himself, and it is a masterpiece. Both Jackie and Lau are/were great artists, but Jackie took control.

God bless.

I think it's underrated.

I heard from the beginning it was BW. It looks like a blast. What I'm curious about is if Heather Donahue really makes a cameo, as was suggested in the last official trailer. Last I checked Heather was retired and farming hemp.

I would prefer Jennifer Kent, but Lesli Linka Glatter (who likely won't get it) goes way back and is so deserving.

Jesus fucking Christ.

It's tricky, because I can and do separate a lot of art from a lot of artists - in the past tense, with years gone by. Several of them are filmmakers whose scandals we all know by heart, and whose work I still enjoy despite those reservations. Meanwhile, be it hypocritical or not, there are others who I won't forgive
