I should've gone through all of the conversation in that thread but it can be confusing on Kinja. It makes the story a little more understandable but why not include that in the submission to clear it up? Unless maybe there was some editing done post-submission.

These names of these posts should instead be titled "Servers With Unrealistic Expectations of the Public".

I thought the same thing with the ham person. It isn't as if ham does not come from the same animal as pork chops. That story sounds either made up or the server misheard that last line from the customer.

The headphone suggestion was more of a statement of keeping people from initiating conversation more than it was for her to utilize in her current situation. However, if you're sitting on a metro, you're not likely to be unaware of potential danger because you have headphones on. Not to mention, they're a decoy trick

Sounds rational

Ugh. The only metro I ever use is a fairly decent one with minimal-level urchin activity so I feel for you, even as a guy. I know headphones don't always work but it's better than not having them in at all.

That's really sad. My whole thing is, just be careful. I'm very fortunate that I am not a woman for circumstances and situations just like this.

That's really unfortunate =/ You should perhaps try to alter your commute time to avoid this person. Maybe then he will get the hint? I know it isn't a perfect solution but HEADPHONES.

I'm thinking maybe you're being sarcastic. At least I hope you are, because how would that reply do anything but further the confusion happening? You become just as bad as the customer and it becomes cyclical.

Just kind of a bummer because I like this blog. It's a fun read. But if you decide to express an opinion that's even slightly contrarian you become "THAT GUY". Mob mentality fogs the rational portion of the brain.

Agreed about the article. It's always nice to have the conversation. It's hard to include every single ethnic background in games, but it certainly has come a long way. There are examples of black characters in video games that don't represent stereotypes (Roland as mentioned above and Lee from the Walking Dead), but

Just seeing the word 'mayonnaise' spelled out makes me want to throw up. Thanks, man.

You're not going along with the narrative of this blog though, so you're relegated to the greys. It honestly SHOULD have been the first thing they asked, especially if it actually was whole wheat toast the first time. "Ma'am, this IS whole wheat toast." It's that simple.

Honestly, what is the point of dropping into the comments to talk about how you expect jackasses to react to a story? It's fairly endemic of this entire website. I'm not attacking you, promise. But what good does this do? "Just wait for the people that..." This is an unproductive conversation to have. It turns into

UEFA will typically reserve punishment like that for racist driven occurrences within a stadium. I feel like this will unfortunately go unpunished.

My girlfriend's roommate loves pineapple on her pizza but doesn't actually eat it. She likes the way it tastes from being cooked on the pizza. Like, the juice? I think? She admits it's weird but I don't understand why you'd like the flavor it leaves but not actually eat the pineapple itself.

By 74th minute did you mean 83rd?

Chances are you won't be able to skip out on the cart unless it's in the late afternoon or evening. I used to work at a country club when I was 16-17 and that's how it worked there, at least. Not to mention the fact that an older guy is not going to want to walk. He's gonna get a cart anyway.

You're over analyzing this whole thing. Sure, take from the ad what you will but I don't think this has shit to do with liberals or conservatives. That's a bit of a stretch. It's hitting out at the craft beer movement, not anyone's political affiliation. It's an ad from Budweiser that's basically telling its current

Not a golfer but I worked for a bunch of them. I think confidence is a huge aspect of being a good golfer. Tiger has none of it anymore.
