I love that you noticed one single dish and that means every person in Rio has premium television and therefore has enough money to attend a World Cup game. That was a genuine thought you had.

This reminds me of a commercial I recently saw. I'm pretty sure it's an ESPN promo for their coverage of the world cup and it ends with a kid sitting on top of a favela building at night looking at the lit up stadium from afar (presumably as a game is happening).

If you consider some of the other methods you've advised to clean things, like the butter/cigarette ash one, then I would say it is completely possible for someone to think this could work. I still have to see that one to believe it.

Being a mayo averse human I'm wondering if plain yogurt would work as a substitute for this. 'A cup of mayonnaise' sounds like my worst nightmare.

One of the houses was a city councilman if I'm not mistaken. Complaining for his son who has breathing problems. But yea, the large majority of the complaints came from just 4 houses.

I'll be the other guy and say that's it's 'Kendrys' now.

I look at it and hope that it turns out the way you hope it does. But what if it doesn't? Trust me, I want the team to do well next month and well into the future but I think it's a bit shortsighted to think Green will do anything worthwhile in the World Cup. Again, I hope I am very, very wrong.

Well either Dempsey or Bradley. But why include him in the 30 man roster if it had been pegged since his time away? That's doesn't seem logical.

I agree Landon hasn't been up to par but his leadership and having that presence will be missed. I think if form was something that came into play for this squad then Jozy shouldn't be there either.

With champions league and a renewed sense of winning consistently I think Liverpool will find it easier to recruit talent in depth more this summer. They didn't spend in January either so they should have some room to improve.

Agree with everything here except I wouldn't say Arsenal was deeper than Liverpool. That really showed when their form dipped midseason.

It's always funny to see these comments on every foodspin article. This happens to be a food blog, not a recipe aggregator.

The first episode I ever saw, and perhaps the only one was the L.A. Koreatown one. I'm from here, so yea.

I apologize if it's been said already, but Sterling is a minority himself. He's a Jewish fella. Making this all the more perplexing.

You know, somehow Bud Light Platinum has achieved less taste than normal BL, which you'd think was impossible.

The plant hasn't been there for very long, a few years I believe. But the LA Times mentioned in an article months ago that the city lured them there by giving them a cheap lease rate. Now they're trying to shut it down? I don't get it.

This is because the city of Irwindale is so sparsely populated in terms of its overall size. It isn't really considered a residential city. I only know this because I live close by and drive through it multiple times a week. I want to say one of the chief complainers is a city counsel official or whatever.

Mostly, yes. Just trying to cram them all in there whole, at least in my mind, sounds like a pain. I'm not at home to look at this in person. I know this will make me sound lazy but I'd rather debone after cooking than before.

Oh yea. I've never done a tomatillo salsa and not roasted them, but I've never gone so far as to roast the peppers that go into it as well. The end result I was hoping to achieve was meat falling off the bones so I could just put gloves on and pull it off and have a nice stack of bone-free chicken for tacos.

I think it needs to be said that one of the main reasons drinking beer and watching sports at bars is a bad idea is having to listen to other people's conversations or out-loud comments on what's happening/players/coaches/etc.
