I wore a red-and-black (satin?) tartan ballgown to prom. It was basically this (not me) without the straps & petticoat. No, I am not Scottish. Yes, I was medium-goth.

I also tried to do the whole “wear a timeless dress” thing so as not to embarrass myself in photos years later. I bought a long, black dress with spaghetti straps. Very Rachel from friends circa 2000 (which is appropriate given that it was 1999). That dress was bangin.

FOUND IT! Remember Gunne Sax? This is not me... but it is my dress. It matched (sort of) my date’s BAND tux. Barf.
