What's the name of the show? And was there an American version adapted from the Japanese show? The video game's premise sounds vaguely familiar, and I feel like I watched a game-of-tag show on Sci-Fi channel (back when it was still with that spelling) and Agents chasing them down. But it's all a serious blur.

Yoko Kanno amazes me. I'm actually more inclined to try watching a show if I know she's involved in the musical angle of it. Doesn't mean I always love the anime itself, but I almost always love what she provides musically to the story. Cowboy Bebop and Tenkuu no Escaflowne were my gateway for her (jazz, bebop,

"I mean, I heard she was great, but Jennifer Lawrence at 22 is playing a drug-addicted divorcee in Silver Linings Playbook? Come the fuck on."

1. I hadn't thought of the idea of the two parties' colors coming together. If that was the intent, ooo, clever.

I love purples. I love the Obama Ladies' styles. And I love their looks today (granted, purple's also my favorite color, so I'm made coveting).

Ditto. I'd do the same thing if I were him, just because it's such a once (well, twice for him) in a lifetime opportunity. I'm glad that Souza (I'm guessing that's gotta be who's got the camera behind him) snagged a shot of him doing that.

Yeah Graceling! That was a nice "we suggest this" book that I got on my e-reader.

You never know regarding B&Bs—I think it depends on location and time of year in terms of prices. But an activity's good—a nice way to build memories when you don't want to worry about buying a physical gift.

Invisible Man's on my list of books to read/finish as well. I was supposed to read that one for a class as well and never got all the way through, but that was also a ridiculous class (the professor expected us to read Invisible Man and Native Son back-to-back...and only spend one class talking about each book...And

Been with my bf for five years. I think we initially did anniversary gifts but realized we didn't really need to do that. So we started trying the "let's just go somewhere for the weekend and have couple time" or "let's do a nice dinner and have especially special sexy sex time." We did a bed-and-breakfast the year

I'm with you. It's why I could never get into high fashion magazines. I look at something and think, "Wow. ...Really?" and start to wonder if high fashion isn't just some large social experiment to see who can create the most outlandish piece and get the most people to sign off on it because of

Beloved hits deep and hard. I haven't been able to get into 100 Years of Solitude—I think it's, in part, because the length and print size and content of the story intimidate me. And it's not like I'm anti-reading—Hell, I have the B.A. and M.A. in literature to prove it. But so many people say "You've gotta read

I absolutely wasn't expecting that, and it was lovely. And now I want bacon. Damnit.

You know what, it's been so long since I've actually seen that movie, it didn't register until you said that.

I like that none of the characters are 100% on point 24/7, and that they each have their issues based on what's happened in their lives. But also, the beginning of the series portrayed the characters as being more put together since that was back when the eps followed more of a "case of the week" formula with some

I think they're moving too fast, too. Unless the plan is to only have a certain number of seasons and then end it, by all means, do what you must. But seeing as that's not how TV programming happens on prime time channels (the "there will only be 3 seasons, we've got it all planned out" mentality that other networks,

I've gotten one girl friend on the wagon. I'm working to see how many others I can convert so I have more people to text to Thursday nights/Fridays.

The diversity on Scandal is one of the first things that I noticed and really loved about it. Not only is the main romance (granted problematic by his being married) an interracial one with serious intensity, but we also have: Cyrus who's a smart, older man in a position of power who's gay; his gay partner who's a

I'm afraid they're going to burn out too quickly. After last night's episode—SPOILERS—we get some doozy back story on Olivia and Fitz's developing relationship that shows his more emotionally dangerous side of neediness, the damage done by his father; we learn more about the voting rigging back story; and Fitz is

I initially didn't understand the Fitz appeal. But the writing grew on me and I bought into the, "You know, if those lines were thrown my way, with that intensity, I'm sure I'd probably have a similar 'Wha...where'd my pants suddenly go?' moment that Olivia struggled with initially. And I think part of my gradual
