Also, Homeland is really bad at pretending to be in DC. It's so obviously Charlotte it almost every scene.

Continuum is about Vancouver, as was the excellent TV show Intelligence. But those were both Canadian shows. Maybe they were shot in Winnipeg.

They do. But Hollywood has yet to figure out (try?) to make a decent movie about one. That may change with Wonder Woman and apparently Ms Marvel happening. Apparently, a lot of the reluctance comes from Hollywood's belief, possibly based on real data, that female characters don't move as much merch - toys, especially.
