I'm so fucking confused by this review… This album seems far less mature than her older stuff… It's all generic, vapid, pop songs.

I just cried watching this episode. The Alex thing was kind of revelatory for me, as well. I too am a middle child, was very self-sufficient, driven, intelligent, and surrounded by a family that loved and supported me growing up. But I've always felt lonely.
