To be fair, this show has always had a strong sexual element in the commentary, which was started by Mel & Sue. Noel is a fucking madman, and this sort of stuff is completely on-brand for his style of comedy. Tbh, he’s my favorite part of the show now, particularly this season as he’s obviously going mad in the COVID…

The Sussex Pond Pudding was a terrible choice for the technical challenge. If I recall correctly, they said it needs 2 hours in the oven (or if not that, then they at least said each one needed more time). Didn’t they only have 2 1/2 hours for the challenge? If no one can pull it off, then what are you judging them…

Not that it makes it less wrong but Noel and Paul are not gay. Noel has been married since 2010 (to a woman) and has two children and Paul was married for 19 years (to a woman) before getting divorced not long ago.

The highlight of this week for me was when Hermine described jelly cake as “an Anglo-Saxon thing”, and the utter contempt she put into the word “Anglo-Saxon” was perfect. She may be on The Great British Bake Off, but that does not mean she has to like anything British.

Nastassja Kinski sued him for libel for the autobiography. She ultimately withdrew the suit, but there was some suggestion that he didn’t hold back with much except possibly the truth.
