My 17-year-old took a gap year to work, he was accepted at a school & deferred the fall & spring semester. Can’t recommend it enough, I think most teens really need the mental breathing room before heading off.
My older boys were in kindergarten around 14 years ago & their teacher told me she’d started reusing her 1st grade lesson plans from her first couple years of teaching.
