Would definitely want to jump on it sooner than later as they are already starting to appreciate. I had an 03 Cobra I bought in 2012 for 18k. Sold it late 2015 for 19,500 with an additional 15k miles on the clock. Fun cars for a short while, but they are honestly pretty crap to drive. Heavy vague brakes, heavy

This is the correct answer

Ha. Came from an 03 Cobra. The sound of blower whine is still near and dear to my heart.

Turbo spool on a V8 is one of the greatest sounds

We had a route like your F series routes, but for the Ram EcoDiesels. The point of the route was to never go fast enough to let the particulate regen system kick on (above 30mph). Except our route ran through neighborhoods. Had the police called on us almost weekly for ‘suspicious activity’. Do not miss that one

I was with Roush. Room mate at the time worked for MDE. Was fun comparing notes on routes and testing methods.

Roush was the company I ran with. Amazingly enough there are actually 2 other companies doing the same work, albeit with different brands. There is a crazy amount of testing that goes on out here

Exactly what it was. We ran a lot up I-70. Mostly as far as Silverthorne, then back down. Some of the trailer mules would actually spend days on Vail pass. Manufacturers love the high altitude and steep grades for testing.

East on 76 was our ‘mileage accumulation’ route. We ran it when a car was behind on miles. Ran from Commerce City to Sterling and back. As many times as you could in a 10 hour shift. Those were long nights.

We were based out of Commerce City, right next to the flea market on I-76. But we ran all over the state. It was either the company I worked for or a company called MDE. There is actually quite a lot of testing that goes on in Colorado, especially along I-70 heading up into the mountains. Companies love the high

I was with Roush out in Commerce City. Room mate at the time worked for MDE. Was fun comparing notes. We had a route similar to your Lexus route, sadly it was for our Subaru hybrid mules. Great route, awful cars.

Worked for a company for about 4 years that did testing on mules similar to these in Colorado. Our trailers were identical to this, but with the addition of thick plexiglass on the ‘grid’. The purpose as I was told was to add additional wind resistance to the trailer to simulate worst case scenario for towing.

Damn I miss that show..

And all hand drawn as well, which just adds to the awesomeness

Love Redline. Watched it about 5 times on Youtube for free before I felt guilty and bought the Blu-Ray. That movie, in HD... Simply magical

My spidey senses (and the lettering on the front) actually tell me that is a Ford Econoline, not a Dodge.

The most ‘impressive’ Cash For Clunkers snuff film I watched was a first gen Explorer with north of 400k on the clock. That tough old bastard refused to die. I forget now how long it eventually took them to kill it, but by the end I was rooting for it to win.

Those Ford big sixes are ridiculously tough. They wont get anywhere in a hurry, but they will outlive most of their owners.
