Right brand, wrong model. My vote goes to the LS for this one. Supremely reliable, quiet and comfortable. Gas mileage isn’t its strong suit, but it’s so damn good in every other respect, it can be forgiven. Plus you can get an extremely clean low mile example in the 30k range all day long.

More than once I have thought about grabbing a Corolla XRS because of that engine. But they just had to shove it in the single ugliest Corolla in existence. Just can’t get around how awful those years look.

I still have an irrational lust for a clean SC400 with a manual swap. My friends all think I am nuts, but I think their styling has held up incredibly well. Proper sexy Japanese GT cars

Like others have said, that seems to be a one in a million stroke of bad luck. When I owned my Lexus I legitimately enjoyed visiting the dealer. They would bend over backwards to keep customers happy. I have literally never had a better dealership experience.

Ah yes, that is a critical part of the equation. Not having a wife or kids made my decision a bit simpler. Haha

Even if this is the worlds greatest driving FF hot hatch (not likely), it will still look like something that was barfed out of the back drop of an unmade F&F spinoff TV show. Hard pass

My 16 year old Corolla does this. When the parking brake comes off, the lights come on, front and rear. If a 16 year old economy car can manage this, no excuse for any new cars not to do it as well.
