I read it as being about black men within the broader reality. "Rape culture" is a term worth discussing, but applies to the oppression of women everywhere.

You could include something like, "I'm not looking for forgiveness."

They also, quite correctly, think that the US ruling class (which includes Hillary, but not "we," or at least not me) has contempt for regular people. That wasn't who she was talking about, but it was easy for them to believe she was. She has never done anything to suggest otherwise.
