Isn’t figure skating a winter olympic event? Aren’t the athletes in figure skating sport getting paid? I don’t really see your comparison in saying making an event of drifting is as bad as making a sport of figure skating?

Granted, i’ve only been to grassroot drifting events and never to any high-level competition…
