I was under the impression that her modeling career happened after Kanye, not before. And even then, lots of women are models: few women get famous as Rose when they are *just* models. Few women do a slutwalk and have thoughts on feminism and get famous either.

EXACTLY. Everything Amber Rose is that is NOT the part about her fucking Kanye and Wiz doesn’t make her famous. Lots of women do SlutWalks and talk about feminism and are not famous.

The thing is, Amber Rose is not saying anything new or original in feminism. Her SlutWalk was just someone else’s idea, “hosted by Amber Rose.”

Amber Rose certainly doesn’t regret her past, but she also doesn’t think that being a stripper and dating rappers precludes her from being known for other things.

Usually its because they did not have great parents, and couple it with the particular way that socially awkward males are treated as children, they basically grow up without friends and social skills. Not all socially awkward males, obviously, but just enough.

I knew a couple like that. Their son grew up very angry and distant. When he was 16 they bought him a used Ford Focus to get around in: when their daughter turned 16 they bought her a band new Mercury Mountaineer SUV with literally all the options and a $15k Sweet 16 birthday party. She was “their little princess1!!!”
