Read this story with a growing sense of horror throughout at the complete disaster it’ll cause. But for me, the bit that sums it up the most is this quote from the woman who’s responsible:

Why do these articles always focus on the women he raped and the man he helped kill and not his college football career? So negative. 

I believe you. My SIL is half Mexican, but she passes for white, with blonde hair, light skin, and green eyes. She served in the military and she was astonished by the assumption that she too, fears all brown-skinned people and joined the military for love of god, guns, country, and defending xenophobia.

I have a feeling we’re about to find out a lot about the state of our military. Not too long ago I said to a buddy who’s a Marine officer that when I was in there’s no way on earth any asshole in Washington could have ordered us to fire on refugees at the US border.

Faux news dominated ratings because so many of us who were repulsed by Boof McKegstand being approved for Supreme Court we had to turn off ALL news.

The only reason Kanye West was ever involved even peripherally in politics is because he noticed that much of the national conversation had turned political after 2016 and he said to himself, “Could more of this conversation, somehow, be about Kanye West instead?”

More family betrayal! Emily West is warning her fellow Missourians not to vote for her racist father, 64-year-old Steve West. “He’s made multiple comments that are racist and homophobic and how he doesn’t like the Jews,” she said. “I can’t imagine him being in any level of government.”

I am fascinated by women like Shlafly. The same way I’m obsessed with serial killer documentaries on Netflix. 

Why is it always a person with a “British accent”  is the villain? I’m British and aside from mocking Trump we’ve pretty much given up on America (no offense to the lovely friends and decent people out there).

I know this will never happen, but I would love for Mueller to write a book about this whole investigation and all the absurd shit that happened and continues to go on while this investigation remains active or at least write a large (scathing) section about it in his memoir.

Kids are fun to fuck with but you gotta keep it on this side of the line.  I told my niece that, because I’m a lawyer, I had asked a judge to legally change her dogs’ names to Dog 1 and Dog 2 and it was illegal to call them anything else.  That provided humor for a solid year with no obvious psychological scars.

Welp. They buried Matt Shepard today at the National Cathedral. The ceremony was very sweet & wrecked me more than expected. Twenty years this month. Lots of downtown Laramie storefronts are displaying No Place For Hate signs in their windows.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if people had reported his comments to Facebook and they said it didn’t violate their standards. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve reported racist and extreme misogynist stuff and Facebook’s been like, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
