If Wainright would have been the one busted last night, there would have been a 12-part Deadspin expose on it, and somehow it would have been a Cardinal fan's fault.

A lot of the (non-Native) writers I've read on the subject have argued simultaneously that (1) the name should be changed, and (2) that non-Native opinions should be discounted, which I find to be a little paradoxical. Maybe they mean only the non-Native opinions who are contrary to theirs should be discounted?

And yet... no similar opposition has risen up around Chiefs or Braves. Pretty sure you wouldn't call a native american "brave" or "chief" in casual conversation either.
