I still maintain that David S. Pumpkins is one of the best sketches that SNL has done in a long while if for no other reason than it actually has a beginning, middle, AND ENDING — with a satisfying payoff to the joke. Most stuff just fizzles out because they have no punchline to go with an initial goofy premise.
