I’m sorry you’re feeling like this! I hope tomorrow feels even a teeny bit better.

I'm going to be wishing I were in your shoes as I hear endless 'Muslims are evil America ruiners' talk!
Yikes. I feel for you. No advice, sorry, just wishing you weren't coping with this. Is there something deeper going on that she's not telling you about? Affairs? Secrets? It sounds kinda baffling and like more info might be coming.
Here’s what I do:
That is brilliant. :)
LOL. I’m glad it eventually came!
My mom had a miscarriage at 48. This was 9 years after her tubal ligation. This extreme fertility (6 kids) kept me from having sex for a long, long time.
TRUTH. I lost/had stolen mine about five months ago, and I think about it every single day as I try (and fail) to manage my audio files without it. I don’t want to buy used, because the least you can pay for a very-used one is about $200 and it was probably stolen. New ones, actual authentic used ones, I don’t even…
Sell it to me. Pretty please. I lost/had stolen mine five months ago and have desperately missed it every day since. I don’t want to buy used on Ebay, because it might have been stolen, and paying $400 for a new one is more than twice the original I paid.
Especially when there are zillions of other strategies for dealing with a situation like this, ones that don’t involve harmful assault, which one can learn in five minutes of studying child psychology and proactive solutions. I have a strong inkling that just one person offering to hear this girl out would have gotten…
You just nailed it. This was my life (BPD/NPD mother). And that’s exactly what I did — I met a manipulative liar who cheated on me extensively. It took figuring out that he’d given me an STD (the week after his funeral, actually) to break the denial, even though I’d gotten about 8,000 clues before that.
Thank you for saying that. (Especially since my mother was just telling me how I know nothing about children and am bad for them! ;)
Oh yeah, I've experienced a lot of that stuff exactly — the room clearing, the fixations... Thanks for the link!
Thank you!
Thanks! I will check it out right now. Yeah, my siblings with good mental health don’t leave their kids with my parents, and I certainly wouldn’t. I wish this sister would wake up. We’ve all tried to tell her. Sometimes they do fun stuff and have a great time — but then boom, one of my parents will snap and the harsh…
Thank you!
I am just so glad that he told you and got screened. I’m serious. Sometimes it seems like most people in the world forget there are STDs or think some kind of fairy dust is bestowed on them at the marriage ceremony so their partner has no risk. I know so, so many people who cheat and don’t give a hoot about their…
Here’s the thing: he’s really missing out on some good stuff. Playing with the two year old should be high on his list of what he wants to do each day, and snuggling with the baby, too. (Two year olds are challenging, I totally feel you, but you know how fun they can be, especially when you’ve been gone all day.) I…
Nope, you are not a jerk. Etiquette violation. Besides, what do little kids love? Bubbles, boxes, sprinklers, grass, balls, running, pools, parks — stuff that’s cheap or free makes them the happiest and is chill for everyone. A teashop is not a happy place for a two year old’s bday. That is nutso. Five year old, okay.…
I love that show.
