I can see wanting other people to live at the -80th floor, but not me!

Mine would!!

From that youtube video, it actually took a LONG time to stop!! I would never release something that unsafe.

How would you define natural?

Plenty of people in business class are flying for business, and very well may not be particularly wealthy.

I’ve never measured it, but I suspect that waiting for the door to actually open comprises about 95% of the time I spend waiting to disembark, while 5% is actually people grabbing their bags. That last 5% is more frustrating but isn’t really significant.

Where I live has an external factor called “weather.” :-p

How do they drop it? With some sort of lever, or *crosses fingers* by using some crazy acrobatics?

Your first class ticket actually entitles you to swap seats with a poor during any emergency maneuvers.

I actually meant to say sit on tarmac for 20 minutes. I’ve very rarely had to sit on the tarmac for an hour! But for me, 10-20 minutes is pretty common. Or, maybe not sit, but 10-20 from wheels down till off the plane.

It depends. I think flying would actually be more time that you’re using up, unless you’ve got a really convenient airport. Get to the airport an hour early (after already traveling there), sit on the flight for an hour, sit on the tarmac while they’re dicking around for an hour, and then travel from the airport. A

I have to think this guy genuinely has something wrong with him.

I wouldn’t argue that backing a kickstarter is actually reasonable from a financial perspective. There’s an amusement factor that plays into my decision to back, in the same way that *some* people buy a lottery ticket knowing full well they’ll never win and it’s not worth the cost. Except, with better odds.

Is it a high gamble? Do I really care that much if the $20 bike pump head I backed fails?

You think a thin sheet of metal will protect you from that?

He also wasn’t very far off of hitting the vehicles on the road this guy was standing on the side of. Might just be an inherent risk of this approach, and yes the photographer was stupid, but it’s not like he was in some restricted area.

How does the rocket target the barge just before landing? Is the barge broadcasting its position, and the rocket aims for that GPS coordinate? Or are both the barge and rocket aiming for the same static GPS coordinate? Or is the rocket using some other sensors (vision, local positioning of some sort, etc.) to target

So... They were aiming for several meters away from the Bulls-eye on this landing?
