It seems to me as an UberX user that that list of “certain cars” has expanded dramatically recently, with less than desirable results.

As soon as I saw that in the article, I was going to post a comment demanding someone run with this. Thank you good sir!

Please refrain from fulfilling that if you die of an infections disease.

There are many people like you, but not everyone is like you. Plenty of people enjoy going to the cinema despite the higher cost. (which isn’t even so significant if you go to a matinee.)

*only way

No, the demand for cheap energy is there. By and large most people would choose cheaper energy over cleaner energy. Until clean energy is inherently cheaper than not so clean energy, those good-fer-nuthin politicians and legislators will have to artificially incentivize investment in and production of clean energy.

And what, pray tell, will encourage people to actually fund this science?

I had the same thought, and made the same comment as you on the giz side!

Drones could be really exciting for a hybrid delivery option. Imagine a truck loaded with them, so that the ten mile radius is expanded to that. For same day but longer than 30 minute delivery, you could have trucks drive out to a given point, and then unleash its payload of a few hundred drones.

I don’t have the expertise or honestly fucks to give in order to produce a well-informed opinion on the matter, but I agree in general with your “I like scientists, but sometimes they seem to not have a firm grasp on reality.” Yes, there fundamental principles that they are referring to always govern how things happen

You thought I had a gun, but it's actually a CAMERA! MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!

If they can't give a decent handshake, why'd you hire them in the first place? ;)

I wonder why so many people are fleeing Syria?

I agree, there's just a decent chance that greed will prevent this from happening.

Thanks! Let's keep each other in mind if one of us leads the plutocracy.

You don't have to justify your existence, you just might starve as a result.

As far as I see it, either a very vanishingly small and exceptionally powerful group ends up owning the entire robotic workforce, leaving everyone else destitute and hopeless, or the people as a whole own the robotic workforce.

It exists because if it didn't, they'd have to charge way more for shipments. Imagine you're shipping a small, highly valuable package, like a diamond. Why would UPS risk $10,000 of liability to make five bucks?

Maybe in a few years, sure, robots won’t replace 50% of jobs, but you seriously think they’ll always be limited to simple and repetitive tasks? I can’t think of any job that a robot or software could not conceivably ever do better than a human.

I meant, definitely go next year!
