My experience with the Switch is a little different than Kirk’s because I’ve been playing it primarily as a portable. That’s the thing with the Switch. If you use it primarily on your TV, you’ll have one experience. If you play it on the go or at least away from the TV, you may have a very different one.

Only if the port has that functionality. I’ll test it with my cable once I get my system Friday morning.

There’s no HDMI output on the tablet, so if you want to plug the console on a TV at a hotel or your relatives’ house, you’ll need to bring the dock with you.

I wonder if the people reporting issues with sync are using a smartwatch and the Bluetooth signal is causing interference.

Oh, I’m just playing around. I’m not mad at money. You don’t need to justify anything.

Har-har. When you’re trying to raise twins in a small 1000 square feet apartment and you’re old and fortunate enough to have some savings, you might take the night nurse option. Very pricy and not something we’ll be able to do much longer, but it’s been massively helpful in these early weeks!

Sure the night nurse was impressed, but what of the butler, chef and groundskeepers?!

While a disconnect is litterally a disconnect and doesn’t need anything more, a connection between HDMI devices requires devices to “sync” toghether, and pass on any required info for those two devices to start properly communicating (resolution, refresh rate, color bit-depth, digital rights management things if

Geeze. I’m getting a bit worried about the sync issues with the Joycon. The system is only a week away! Anybody know if you can plug the controllers directly in to avoid that issue? Or a place that isn’t sold out of Pro Controllers?

I chose this Smash Bros. character as my user icon.

Actually, that’s literally it. It takes about the time required for a TV to recognize a new HDMI signal.

I bet that added delay when switching from the handheld to the tv is actually caused by the tv, and not the console itself. It tends to take many tvs a second or two to detect a signal and begin displaying it.

Still closed.

Now he just needs to drink and nap...

That there is some armor for considering conundrums and pondering pickles in.

Hmmmm.

Hmm. HMMMMMMM.

I think he means make it so people with that box checked see everybody else’s helmets as on, but others don’t.

You were a rebel in the truest sense of the word.

Its good to see game developers really go out there to explore all these very different types of protagonists.
