Yes, I want to be able to add my current location to something like a Google Custom Map using the mobile device and put a custom label on it with pictures and a description.

I'm looking for a cross-platform app that allows users on their smartphones to collaboratively create a map layer. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, just the ability to label places, and maybe add some notes or pictures. This really seems like something there should be a standard app for, but I've found nothing so…
I've been using Win 8 Consumer Preview as my primary OS for a bit now. It might be force of habit, but I hardly spend any time in the new metro interface. I just don't see it as being very useful for a keyboard-and-mouse users.
I use Mog because it's queue-based and they make it easy to download full albums to your phone. Their Android app could really use an ICS refresh though.
Does Virgin throttle? Or is it actually unlimited?
I agree with @Landerhoffs. They're just MP3 files. Even if by some crazy court ruling, the RIAA got to look through Google's data, they'd just see the files. There's no data there that would indicate whether you bought the mp3s, ripped the CDs, or pirated them.
The girlfriend and I decided to stick it out another year in our one-bedroom apartment and save some money rather than try to get a condo right now. But we're trying to upgrade some stuff to make the apartment, especially the kitchen, more usable. Does anyone have any experience with a) portable dishwashers or b) some…
Yeah, I was just thinking, do I have any household appliances I can use as a DEhumidifier?
When do you need it? Google is supposed to be releasing a 7-inch nexus tablet within the next month for 200 dollars. Not sure about availability in Mexico though. I'm sure the Galaxy Tab+ will be good, but any nexus device will probably be more future-proof.
I'm taking two extra days off next week to get a 5-day weekend. I have one day trip planned to some sand dunes outside the city (I don't have a car so getting out of the city is a rarity for me), but I'm not sure what to do with the rest of my time. I basically just took the days off because I've felt I needed to…
I assume you're on Android 2.x? This is a native feature of ICS.
Sometimes it helps me to start a new project I'm excited about, even if I haven't finished the last project I was really excited about. Put the other things on hold and do what you find interesting right now.
Having a wifi Xoom taught me how much better it is to have a developer device. Android 4.0 made the device so much better, and I expect similar improvements when it and my new Galaxy Nexus get Android 5.0. I'm not waiting around for 6 months for those kinds of improvements.
Replaced my Droid 2 with an unlocked Galaxy Nexus earlier this month.
Doing the same thing, and I expect to save money in the course of the next year compared to buying a subsidized phone, much less two years. I'm concerned that they'll raise the price, but it's a deal at 50 bucks. And there's nothing stopping me from switching to Straight Talk if it doesn't work out.
Ahh, that's probably it. Thanks!
I did custom ROM my Droid 2 before I got the GNex, and I think that might have just corrupted my browser data on Google's servers. I don't think a factory reset will help because I just set up my Gnex last week and it never successfully synced. I might try deleting all my browser data on Chrome and seeing if it starts…
Several networks do. I know T-mobile does it, and AT&T does too, plus other smaller/regional carriers. You can order a SIM online or just walk into a t-mobile. If you're not doing data, it shouldn't be complicated to set up.
You might be aware of this, but the Friendcaster app is a facebook client with better Android integration, and it syncs to contacts. It wouldn't be account to account sync, but it would get the pictures back on your Android devices.
Anyone with an Android 4.0 device having a hard time getting the browser to sync with your Google account? I've been getting "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly" for weeks, and my bookmarks etc aren't syncing to the native browser. I have a Xoom wifi and unlocked Gnex running stocky.
