    Not racist, maybe “just” problematic (I can live with this). If they can plausibly justify it in the movie I doubt it will bother me too long. My main concern is that Scarjo doesnt pull off any kind of strongheadedness that we associate with Motoko Kusanagi, her rendition of character feels too obviously insecure

    The Good: creepy geisha doll got my attention, surreal and eerie. From the barebones we got here, the Major’s character has the potential for deeper complexity than the original anime.
