Eh, bad analogy that you gave. 4k is 4k. It’s also 2k. It’s 2160 in one direction, 4096 in the other. Why you chose to get hung up on the orientation that it doesn’t refer to is beyond me. If neither of them were correct, then hell yeah you got a point.

The Toyota BZ4xyZ leases advertised recently worked out to be even less (something like $270/month) on a $46k vehicle. In the fine print, they gave the estimated residual value at the end of the lease, which was something around 50% depreciation (not crazy for a new EV, but crazy for a new Toyota). So including $7k in

How American of you.

From what I’ve seen it isn’t the maintenance costs that are killing EV rental cars, it’s repair costs when a Tesla or Polestar gets in a fender bender, a frequent issue with rental cars. The long down time for damage repair and the need to use a Tesla-certified repair center make it prohibitively expensive.

Add in the diesel exhaust students will not be breathing.

I think the problem came to be that the larger car (civic) started to surpass the fuel economy of the Fit while being better in every way.  Once superior fuel economy is out people tend to go for the bigger model.

There is a new Celica, seems to me: the 86.

Calling it now that people start praising these things the moment they’re not longer available new.

I’m just saying that when Japan and Germany team up on a project, the outcome is kinda doubtful.

It’s a good possible vehicle for MOST families. Not all — in fact, I bet statistically fewer than maybe 0.01% of families — have ATVs they need to haul around. What charging areas are unsafe? Are there no sketchy gas stations?

Why do moms have to be the ones getting groceries?

Just throw it in the drawer next to your Zune and bluetooth 2.0 devices.

The demand IS there, but not at the crazy prices they are demanding.

Last year we bought a ‘22 Chevy Bolt EV, and liked it so much that earlier this year we replaced it with a ‘23 Chevy Bolt EUV. To me, the biggest mistake Chevy is making is cancelling the Bolt and pushing all customers up to the Blazer EV (which starts at $49K).

If you are hoping a car wrecks just because of their livery, you aren’t a race fan you are just a hater. You are allowed your distaste, but to wish harm on someone for it is just POS behavior.

I can’t understand why anybody would buy a Tesla right now while the management is all being laid off...

I honestly can’t tell if this is satire.

This example needs more stars.

Mmmm not even close. On one track you have potential families and people not breaking the law... on the other you have this shit stain who could care less about anyone other than themselves having fun. Fuck this guy he got exactly what he was looking for.

I am failing to see how the cop did not do *exactly* the right thing here. If moron was going too fast to stop in time to not hit a very plainly visible cop car, he was going too fast to not hit a pedestrian. Not like he came around a blind corner and there was the cop.
