Me!
idk, tbh, it just looks like an engine bay without the plastic cladding. it seems like they chose to route everything over the engine, as opposed to under and around it.... hard to say without actually getting my hands in there, but if everything is accessible and straightforward enough to maintain, I dont see any…
The NA motor you see here is stupid reliable. I wish I never sold mine.
that seems to be 6 miles/kwh. that’s pretty damn good. glad to see someone out there still pushing for efficiency.
unfortunately it’s VW, a major payday to the family will likely still be a drop in the bucket. in any case tho, I hope those parents get paid, because fuck VW.
either another $500 volvo if i could find one with low enough miles in a fixable condition....
instead of just having lanes, LA freeways are going to have lines painted across the lanes so they can have rows and rows of 11'x24' rectangles. and everyone can get their parking spots while sitting in traffic
yeah.... ive never been one to care much for a toyota, but damn.. the crown is a sharp looking car. my grandfather had a 7th and a 9th gen when i was growing up.
probably the classic, “brakes failed” even though the pedal was all the way to the floor, because the throttle was stuck open due to a shoe being mashed down on top of the gas pedal.
yup and so do we.
it really comes down to the specific job description.... but mainly it’s and executive that is “busy” therefore needs someone to do all the non-decision making components of their day to day.... (go get coffee, lunch, remind of schedule, block calendar).... but depending on how much they trust their EA’s, execs can…
The average round trip commute in the US is something like 35 miles. So that’s probably around 1/2 the population at a minimum.
haha yeah. i have a hard stop at 1998 for my cars unless i need donor parts like a short block then i can go to 04. (the wife gets the newer cars.).
on the flip side, you actually got robbed at the pump... even if we were buying all our electricity, once factor in fuel costs, we saved almost $1000/year.
we have the first gen. its actually been really great. they claim 170 miles range but we get roughly 190 miles/charge we’ve done a couple long trips on it and charged along the way, the charging rate isnt the fastest even on a DC charger, but the range comes right back, because it’s really efficient (super low drag).…
this mentality is toxic.
Ive ridden this a handful of times... rarely came across a logging truck... but 128 to the coast on the other hand, that is scary. no shoulder, and the last 10 miles or so, those trucks are flying.
