280 in the SF bay area moves at 85mph for majority of the day... even the slow lane usually moves north of 70.

I was an idiot with my first car... I saved up and bought a 2012 ford focus hatchback with the 5-speed in late 2011 new off the lot. it had 150 ponies, and yes, I did hit the governor (120mph btw), at 3am on an empty highway.... I also drove that thing like an idiot, but im thankful that was the car i did my stupid

its within 1mpg of the corolla cross... i think with the size, its just inevitable.

Plugin Hybrid is considered a ZEV

It needs to be noted that PHEV’s are ZEV.

the other part to this issue though is that the Texas gas tax has been $0.20 since 1991... They should probably adjust that for inflation... which would be roughly $0.40/gallon

LOL. I just stopped watering the lawn, and I only pushed the lawnmower around my yard ONCE last year.

If I had to guess, this may just be another compliance car for them to get their average MPG down.

I love fixing shit. And I love buying new tools.

Is your engine some of that Nature made Dino or synthetic? I usually do my Dino cars annually. - otherwise I can’t keep track of what year I did it, and I rarely drive any of my cars car more than 1000 miles a year.

Mitsubishi is feeling left out by this comment.

agree. not to mention that if im ever in a position where I would absolutely need to use it, i dont trust that the cars ahead and behind me wont tap my bumper on the way out.

this test claiming that the car doesnt actually drive it’s claimed EPA range is somewhat asinine.

I broke my right knee (tibial avulsion) had surgery and was on crutches, had a cast... (i drove 3 pedals with 2 feet for a while. right ankle was able bend, so i had gas, but i did clutch/brake with my left foot, and e-brake if i was on an incline... though i did most of my accelerating with the cruise control

most of the parts on that car can be sourced from other years.

admittedly the transmission is kind of a PITA to remove... because of the 5 cylinder, it makes the assembly kinda long, and in order to get it out, you have to drop it downwards on the subframe package.... it also has a welded (albeit spot welded) core support, so you have to lift the front end of the car in order to

98 is a transition year, so it’s basically an 850 in S70 skin.

before the chip shortage, our local nissan dealer was doing $0 down, $150/month (plus taxes, so closer to $170) for 24 months.

so the other thing that i read that was interesting was that they were going to have some difficulty cleaning this up, because that area between the buildings is extremely narrow, and getting a crane in there to get shit out is gonna be tough.... they were saying how they would likely need to put up a larger crane on

most of the smaller EV’s are still lighter than a large sedan... they are capable of not weighing two tons... but yeah, do that to an SUV, and fuck that adds up quick.
