Honestly. If it were a slower road, it would probably be fine, but most people there travel 50, and frantically make that hard right. The loss of the right turn lanes creates a handful of new issues.

If it were a slower road it would probably be fine, but it’s a very wide 40mph road where most travel 50. The loss of the turn lane creates backups, and also puts people in this position of frantic braking before making the hard right. (The other road lanes are narrower than it looks)

you’ll care about them when you end up being liable during a collision. something that could have been prevented with proper infrastructure.

Ive done that stretch by bike. it was like 3am and wasnt too bad. (I did SF bay area to mexico in 40 hours)... idk what its like midday tho.

As a cyclist, I will say we cant completely discount the fact that some intersections are laid out like absolute dogshit. and the way the city planners put the bike lanes in reallllllly makes you wonder who’s butthole their heads were up, because fuck... someone is gonna die.

I’m looking to electric swap my 1937 buick Special series 40, and get a newer k-member under there, along with a newer rear axle.... and daily that.

As someone noted back seat headroom.

“I’m just gonna replace the _______.” Which very quickly becomes “….. while I’m in here I should also do ______.”

They see an American market Japanese car and say “JDM”

Jesus Christ.

Can it back feed power to the house while not on the road?

Or another piece of useful equipment that can help reduce vehicles on the road in order to make room for people that actually need their vehicles.

lol. my wife would kill to have a garage separate from mine (should i be worried?)... i wouldnt mind having my workshop in a separate garage or better yet a completely separate structure. might need to quit my semi annual avocado toast for that dream to become a reality tho.

yo.... dont insult hyundai like that.

We have a Hyundai EV. We leased it (at $700 down and $150/month, it was cheaper than gas alone for our last car), and the subscription just came with the lease… and I can tell you right now, the app is dogshit. It’s sooooooooooo slow. If I need something really quick forget to unlock the car, it’s quicker for me to

Tbh. I’d be willing to bet that the deadline/ask gets adjusted in 7 years, but at least this lights a fire under all the manufacturers’ asses. Same for infrastructure.

This is exactly what came to mind for me to when I saw qotd. It had all the 90’s shapes, along with some proper 90’s miscalculations like rollover and the Firestone recall.

you know whats also ridiculous about bart is that it doesnt run a standard gauge rail.... It would have been nice to have one continuous system that ran all the way around the bay, as opposed to the piece meal bart/lightrail/caltrain/amtrak shit we have going on now....

yeah that sums it up well. im in the bay area, and most highways around here also have enough traffic that even at highway speeds, theres enough of a draft going to where it really doesnt take much throttle.... i leave tons of space ahead of me i can still feel the draft from the group of cars pull me along.
