In late 1983 I was stationed at Wiesbaden Air Base , now called Lucius D. Clay Kaserne. On several occasion the base went on full lock down for a couple of hours in the middle of the night, couldn’t leave the barracks, could not venture anywhere near the airfield. You could hear jets come in, and an hour or so later…
