I don’t mind them actually . I shot at one by mistake when I started and that was fun . But I would love for their roles to be expanded . I wanna see them actually restore stuff I destroyed . Which fit with why they exist . Instead of just scanning stuff . 

‘Giving players freedom’ like in DAI . You can say no to being the Herald of Andraste but oops! Sorry , we lied . Oh you can , but the ‘no thanx’ doesn’t matter . Right..choices that matter .
