DT, this is the correct take. Great write up.

Stupidity of the wall aside (and believe me, that is super difficult to process).

Ditto. So much this.

If Genie isn’t poofing around egging the crowd on then you lose the largest part of the whole act. Yes, the song is big, but Genie is MAKING it big by selective force.  Not just walking in front of everything.

We’re heading toward a recession, I expect it will be fully realized by Christmas.  In my field we’ve been seeing the same trends that happened leading up to ‘07/’08 and they aren’t reversing.

I like to at least put down enough such that if I have to turn around and sell the car at any point while I’m still paying it off I will be able to pay off the remainder of the loan.  Just takes a little research on the front end to figure out a depreciation curve.

Craigslist has the price at $47k, still too high for a 327 automatic car.

Ride sharing does not work as a full-time job, or even a part-time job. Asking Uber/Lyft/etc to provide benefits is like asking the “get 10 cents to take this survey!” people to offer benefits.

Is a prerequisite for purchasing said car that you have a garage that is empty of tools, parts, and everything else besides a sole wire chair that you sit in as you contemplate your life decisions?

I never realized how small these things are, I guess because I’ve never seen one next to an average person’s daily driver. That Camry positively dwarfs the Lamborghini.

“It’s just a real slippery slope, especially for anyone that likes cars. There are better ways to target street racers and sideshows. Going after anyone the cops thought might have been watching, with scant evidence, isn’t a good approach.”

I don’t think the title of this article makes sense.  At least the idea of a 5th grade reading level isn’t mentioned anywhere other than the title.

I wouldn’t be too worried about the coyotes and their “weapons”. I watched Looney Toons growing up.

Doesn’t the presence of a 2-speed transfer case denote this as 4WD?  The article keeps saying AWD.

I don’t see why this is such a big deal.  As long as the self-driving cars are sharing the road with human operated cars there will be a non-zero chance of the self-driving car creating an accident. Humans are just not that predictable, we do things against logic ALL. THE. TIME.

A simple way to tell a true Z28 from a re-badged clone in the third generation of camaros is to look for 2 reinforcing bars that are about the size of a standard #2 pencil. One is connecting the middle of the front passenger subframe to the wheel well in the engine compartment and the other goes from the passenger

For what it’s worth, I’m voting against him!!!

This thing is pretty cool. Admittedly when I saw it the first this I thought of was metal slug.

Anyone who can equate the burning of an empty old church building with the deaths of thousands of innocent people needs to get their head checked.
